Welcome to Smith's Jerky and Meat Shop
Valerie Smith has 15 years of experience in the retail meat business including management, meat cutting and customer service. Her husband George, meanwhile, has taken years to perfect an exceptional recipe for beef jerky. Together they believed that this year was the perfect time to combine their experience and ingenuity and make a monumental life decision - open their own business!
Their new life as downtown Orillia shop owners began a short while ago when they opened the doors to their bright, clean and modern store, Smith's Jerky & Meat Shop located at 43 Colborne St. West in Orillia, Ontario.
Both valerie and George promise to offer excellent customer service, but with a small, downtown shop feel. To them that means friendly, individual attention to each and every customer who walks through their door.
Secondly, customers will appreciate the high quality of their products. Smith's carries only Triple "A" meats - and in a huge variety. They carry raw frozen sausage, burgers, hot dogs, fish, steaks and pork, all in a variety of package sizes and cuts.
Fresh meat is also available and, as with their frozen meats, it's all Triple "A" featuring beautiful roasts and steaks.
With the customer in mind, Valerie and George have created a unique "Family Plan" meat packages from $70 to $300. Unlike other company offerings, theirs are not pre-packaged. Each customer is able to choose exactly what they want included, a customization that means customers aren't throwing out unwanted cuts of meat month later!
And, of course, there's the beef jerky!!! George is particularly proud of the recipe he has perfected. "it's like eating potato chips. Once you've eaten one......."
